Terms of Use

NeSkazano is a bilingual online magazine with daily columns (calendar and traditions, lunar calendar and horoscope, household tips, recipes, tests, puzzles, explanations in plain words) and a library of fictional and dramatised stories. The site is owned by Volodymyr Satsyk, sole proprietor (ФОП Сацик Володимир Іванович); the editorial team's details are on the Contact page.

Stories may be entirely invented, inspired by typical life situations or put together from several motifs; names, dialogue, places, chronology and other details in them may have been changed. Any resemblance to real people or events may be coincidental unless the page expressly states otherwise.

The materials are intended for general informational, practical and entertainment reading. They are not a news report, documentary evidence, a medical diagnosis, or psychological, legal, financial, veterinary or other professional advice. The horoscope, the lunar calendar, folk omens, the dream dictionary and protective charms are folk tradition and entertainment, not a forecast; psychological tests are not a diagnosis.

Do not make important decisions solely on the basis of what you have read. On matters of health, law, money and safety, consult a qualified professional or the relevant service; in an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

You may read public pages free of charge, share a link to a publication and quote a short extract, to the extent justified by the purpose of the quotation, with a clear mention of NeSkazano and an active link to the original page.

Without prior permission, you may not copy articles in full, or in parts that in effect replace the original; publish them on another website, in an app, a book, a newsletter or on a social network; sell them, translate them for republication, remove source credits or use the materials to advertise someone else's product.

You may not interfere with the operation of the site, circumvent security measures, overload the server with requests, test for vulnerabilities without permission, send malicious code or attempt to gain access to restricted data and administrative functions.

Mass automated extraction of texts, images, comments or the structure of the site is prohibited, except for the ordinary operation of permitted search engines and cases to which the editorial team has given express consent. This restriction does not cancel any rights that cannot be restricted under applicable law.

Comments and messages from users

By sending a comment or an enquiry, you confirm that you have the right to its content and are not infringing the rights of other people. You keep the rights to your text, but you allow NeSkazano to store and check it and, in the case of a comment, to publish it as part of the operation of the site.

• do not post threats, harassment, discrimination or calls for unlawful acts;
• do not send spam, hidden advertising, malicious links or mass repeated messages;
• do not disclose other people's addresses, phone numbers, documents or other personal details without permission;
• do not pass yourself off as another person or claim someone else's authorship as your own;
• bear in mind that comments go through an automated check and are not published if links, advertising, insults or coarse language are detected.

Moderation and removal

The editorial team may reject, hide, shorten the technical part of, or remove user content if it breaches these terms or the law, compromises security or infringes the rights of third parties. We may also restrict the sending of repeated spam and close the discussion on a particular page.

The automated check does not mean that the editorial team confirms or endorses every statement made by a user. Responsibility for a message that has been sent remains with its author.

Pages may display advertising blocks and links to external resources. Advertising is kept separate from editorial content, but the advertiser's goods, services and claims are not controlled by NeSkazano. Following a link to a third party and interacting with it take place under that third party's terms and privacy policy.

We try not to direct readers to obviously dangerous resources, but we cannot continuously monitor the content of an external page after a link to it has been published. If a link has stopped working or leads to questionable material, please let the editorial team know.

We aim to keep NeSkazano available and in good working order, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation without delays, technical errors or temporary restrictions. Pages, features and individual materials may be updated, moved, become unavailable or be removed.

These terms may also change along with the site. A new version takes effect from the moment it is published on this page, and the date of the substantive update is shown at the top. Changes do not deprive users of rights that cannot be limited by contract.

You use the site, and make decisions based on what you have read, relying on your own judgement. To the extent permitted by applicable law, NeSkazano is not liable for indirect losses arising from the interpretation of material, temporary unavailability, the actions of a third-party service or the content of a user comment.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law expressly prohibits from being excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights.

If you believe that a publication infringes your rights, give the link, the disputed element, the basis of your claim and your preferred way of receiving a reply by email — see the contact page. We may ask for reasonable confirmation of your connection to the right concerned, check the material and then correct the attribution, restrict access or remove the disputed part.

If any individual provision of these terms proves inapplicable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent possible. Matters are resolved taking into account the applicable law and the nature of the specific situation.
