Data in plain language
Privacy Policy
Updated 8 November 2026
Kypros Weather, our English-language weather pages for Cyprus, is part of the NeSkazano project. This policy applies to the whole of neskazano.com, including Kypros Weather. We want you to understand what data NeSkazano receives when you make an ordinary visit, subscribe, send a comment or write to the editorial team. Below is a detailed explanation in plain language: what may be processed, why it is needed and what choices you have.
- No registrationThe site has no mandatory registration and no personal account.
- Only what is neededWe ask only for what the feature you choose requires.
- Analytics without advertisingIP addresses are shortened, and ad personalisation in Analytics is switched off.
- Your rightsYou can ask for access to your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted.
01Who is responsible for the data
The controller of the personal data you submit through NeSkazano's forms is Volodymyr Satsyk, sole proprietor (ФОП Сацик Володимир Іванович); correspondence address: Office 101/21, 65-B Beresteiskyi Avenue, Sviatoshynskyi District, Kyiv 03062, Ukraine. You can contact us about privacy matters through the contact page, at info@neskazano.com or by phone on +380 66 385 29 70.
We aim to ask only for what is genuinely needed for the feature you choose to use. The site has no mandatory registration and no personal reader account.
02What data we receive
What you tell us yourself
When you send a comment, the form receives the name you enter and the text of the comment. When you subscribe to emails, we receive your email address and the language you have chosen. If you write to the editorial team, we receive your name, your email address, the content of your message and a record that you consented to the processing of the data in that message.
The country from which a comment was sent is shown next to the commenter's name. The server determines it from the IP address at the moment of sending, using MaxMind's GeoLite2 database (maxmind.com). Only the country code is stored and published with the comment; the IP address itself is not stored and is not shown anywhere.
When you start the NeSkazano Telegram bot, Telegram passes the bot your chat ID and may also pass the name set in your Telegram account, your public username and the app language. We use this information only to keep your subscription, choose the language and deliver notifications about new issues and stories. We have no access to the text of your private conversations with other Telegram users.
Please do not include passport details, payment information, medical documents, your exact home address or other sensitive information in your message if your question can be explained without them. If your enquiry concerns copyright, it is enough at first to describe your connection with the material; the editorial team will tell you whether any further proof is needed.
Technical data
When your browser opens the site, servers and security tools may automatically process your IP address, the date and time of the request, the address of the requested page, the browser and device type, language, referrer, diagnostic events and signals that help detect spam or abuse.
This data is needed to deliver the page, fix faults, protect forms and infrastructure, limit automated attacks and understand how well the site is working overall. We do not use technical logs to get to know individual readers personally.
03Why we process data and who can access it
Why and on what basis we process data
The specific basis depends on the situation. By submitting the contact form and indicating your consent, you allow us to process your message so that the editorial team can read it and reply. Comments are processed for automatic checking before publication and for publication itself, at your request.
Pressing Start in the Telegram bot means that you are asking to receive notifications. You can opt out with the button in the bot or with the /stop command; after that, no new messages are sent unless you activate the subscription again.
Pressing the email subscription button means that you are asking to receive emails about new content. Every email contains a link to unsubscribe immediately; once you confirm, your record is made inactive and no new emails are sent.
Site security, combating spam, diagnosing errors and protecting the rights of the editorial team and users may rely on legitimate interest, where it applies and is not overridden by your rights. Certain information may also be kept where the law requires it or where it is needed to deal with a legal claim.
Who may have access to data
Access to messages and to the administrative area is limited to the people who need it to run the site. External providers may be used for hosting, storage, protection against abuse and delivering technical features. They process data within the scope of the service they provide and under their own mandatory privacy rules.
Notifications are delivered through Telegram, so the chat ID and the content of the message sent are processed by Telegram's infrastructure under its own rules. NeSkazano does not receive your Telegram password, phone number or contact list.
Emails are delivered through the Resend service. To send them, Resend receives the recipient's address, the subject, the content of the email and technical delivery data. Resend processes this information within the scope of its mailing service and its own privacy rules.
We do not sell personal data and do not pass our list of email addresses to advertisers. Information may be disclosed where this is necessary to comply with a lawful demand, to protect security or to deal with a well-founded claim.
05Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall figures for visits and interaction with pages: for example, which sections are opened more often, what types of device people use to read the site and how long a session lasts. This information helps us improve the structure and performance of NeSkazano.
The Google Analytics tag stores analytics cookies that are used to tell visits apart; the IP address is shortened in the process. Advertising cookies, ad personalisation and the sharing of data for advertising purposes are switched off. You can find out more about this processing on the ‘How Google uses information’ page, which is linked below.
Google AdSense and advertising data
If Google AdSense ad units are activated, Google and its partners may use cookies, IP addresses, online identifiers and information about interaction with the page to show ads, measure their effectiveness, protect against fraud and, where the necessary choice has been made, personalise advertising.
Google AdSense ad units on the site are currently switched off and will stay off until a Google-certified consent management platform is connected for the regions where one is required; NeSkazano's own cookie window does not switch them on. Through that platform you can accept, reject or later change your choice. You can find out how Google processes information on partner sites on the ‘How Google uses information’ page, and change personalisation in Google's ad settings.
Advertising from partner networks
Article pages may show recommendation ad blocks from partner advertising networks. To select ads, count impressions and clicks, and protect against fraud, advertising networks may use cookies, your IP address, and information about your browser, device and interaction with the blocks. The networks process this data under their own privacy policies; the ads and advertisers are selected by the network, not by NeSkazano. You can restrict such cookies in your browser settings.
06How long information is kept
Comments and enquiries are kept no longer than is reasonably necessary for moderation, replying, keeping a record of the enquiry, protecting against repeat spam and meeting legal obligations. The period depends on the type of data and the context: for example, unpublished spam may lose its value sooner than correspondence about a copyright claim.
Telegram subscription data is kept while the subscription is active. After the /stop command, the record is made inactive so that messages are not sent again; you can ask for it to be deleted completely through the contact form.
Your email address is kept while the subscription is active. After you unsubscribe, the record remains inactive to the extent needed to stop the mailing and to prevent emails being sent again; you can request complete deletion through the contact form. Reading progress, bookmarks, favourites and reactions are kept for as long as the features you have chosen need them or until you ask for the related data to be deleted.
When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted, anonymised or kept only to the extent required for a lawful purpose. Backups and security logs may be refreshed on their own technical cycle.
07Your rights and your choices
Depending on your country and the circumstances, you may ask us to confirm that your data is being processed, give you access to it, correct an inaccuracy, delete information, restrict processing, transfer your data in a portable format or object to particular ways of using it. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent for the future.
You can opt out of the email newsletter using the link in any email you receive, and out of Telegram notifications with the /stop command. You do not need to give a reason for opting out.
To make a request, write to us through the feedback form, say which data or action you are interested in, and use the email address connected with the enquiry. We may need to carry out a reasonable check so that we do not hand over or delete data at the request of someone else. If you believe the matter has not been resolved, you can also contact the competent data protection authority in your country.
08Children, security and the limits of our guarantees
The site is not specifically intended for collecting children's data. If an underage user wants to write to the editorial team, it is safer to do so together with an adult and not to give unnecessary personal information.
We apply reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect forms and storage, but no transfer of data over the internet is ever completely free of risk. If we become aware of a significant security problem, we will act in accordance with the applicable requirements.
09Updates to this policy
We may revise this policy when the site's features, providers or legal requirements change. The current version is always on this page, and the date of the last substantive update is shown above the text.
This page explains NeSkazano's practices in plain language and is not individual legal advice.
